SGQR for PayNow: Singapore banking apps open the transfer from one scan and show the registered PayNow name before the payer confirms.
Without an amount the payer enters it and the code can be reused. The code is static: changing the details requires a new image.

Why a PayNow QR code
In Singapore, most customers would rather scan than read out a mobile number or a UEN at the counter. A PayNow QR code is an SGQR code that Singapore banking apps read directly: the payer scans it, sees the name registered for PayNow and confirms. Choose a mobile number or a company UEN, then optionally add an amount in SGD, a name in the code and a reference or bill number. Without an amount, one printed code serves every price; with one, the sum is locked. Because the SGQR string is printed in the image itself, scanning never touches QR Global and nothing expires.
- Read directly by Singapore banking apps that support PayNow, with no link or extra page in between.
- Works with a personal mobile number or a business UEN, including UENs with an account suffix.
- Open amount for counters and donations, or a fixed amount for invoices.
- A reference or bill number of up to 25 characters travels with the payment details.
Hawker stalls and kiosks
A laminated code by the drinks fridge takes payments for every item without a terminal.
Tuition and private lessons
Tutors attach the code to the monthly fee note, with the pupil's name in the reference.
Invoices from small companies
A code with the UEN, amount and invoice number saves clients from typing all three.
Condo, club and society fees
Committees collect dues with one code and match payments by the reference.
Charity drives and events
Volunteers put up a code without a preset sum, and donors choose what to give.

PayNow QR Code Generator (SGQR)
Pick the PayNow proxy, a Singapore mobile number or a company UEN, and decide whether the amount is fixed or left to the payer. Optional extras are a display name and an invoice number.
What is this QR code?
SGQR is Singapore's common QR standard, and its PayNow part identifies the recipient by mobile number or UEN. Bank apps look up the registered name and show it before the transfer. After you download it, nothing about the code depends on QR Global.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where can customers scan it?
Singapore banking apps that support PayNow, such as DBS digibank and PayLah!, OCBC and UOB TMRW, read SGQR codes from their scan screen.
Does the code expire?
No. The generator doesn't set an expiry date, so a printed code keeps working.
Can the payer change the amount?
If you leave the amount empty, the payer enters it. A fixed amount is locked in the code.
What mobile numbers and UENs are accepted?
A Singapore mobile number with eight digits starting with 3, 6, 8 or 9, written with or without +65, or a UEN in any of the ACRA formats. The number or UEN must already be registered for PayNow with your bank.
What does the name in the code do?
It is a label inside the code, up to 25 Latin characters. The payer's banking app shows the name registered with PayNow anyway, which is how they confirm they are paying the right person or company.
Fixed or open amount?
Keep it open for counters, tips and donations, where every payment differs. Fix it for invoices and set fees; the payer then cannot alter it.
How do I test the code safely?
Point your own banking app at it. The app shows the registered name and amount before anything is sent, and you can simply cancel.
Can a printed PayNow code be edited?
No. Everything lives in the image, so a new number, UEN or sum means printing a fresh code. For the same reason, this type keeps no scan statistics.
Where does the reference end up?
It is passed to the payer's banking app together with the amount. How it appears in your own transaction history depends on your bank, so check one test payment before relying on it for reconciliation.
