Confirmation typically takes at least around 10 minutes per block, slower than most alternative coins like Litecoin or Dogecoin.

Can a wallet app scan this code directly?

Use the phone camera instead. The code opens our payment page, while the built-in scanners of wallets usually expect a bare address. The page then hands the payment over to the wallet.

Which address formats are accepted?

Any Bitcoin address — legacy (1…), P2SH (3…) or SegWit and Taproot (bc1…). Double-check it in your wallet before saving, because the generator cannot verify that the address is yours.

Should I set an amount?

Only for a fixed price. The value of bitcoin moves quickly, so for prices quoted in your currency, leave the amount empty and tell the payer the current figure.

Can I change the address after printing?

Yes, edit the saved code. Protect your QR Global account with a strong password, since whoever controls the account controls where the code leads.

Does QR Global hold or process the bitcoin?

No. Payments go directly from the payer's wallet to your address on the Bitcoin network; QR Global only shows the payment page and counts scans.

Can I accept Lightning payments?

Not with this type: it builds an on-chain bitcoin: request. For Lightning invoices, use a URL code pointing to your Lightning payment page.
