Bank-transfer QR in the NBU format (Resolution No. 97): any Ukrainian banking app fills in the payment from one scan. The hryvnia sign in the centre is mandatory, so a custom logo isn't applied.
Leave the amount empty to let the payer enter it. The code is static: changing the details requires a new image.

Why an NBU payment QR code
Ukrainian invoices used to come with a block of requisites — IBAN, EDRPOU, purpose — that payers retyped by hand. The NBU payment QR code, defined in Resolution No. 97 of the National Bank of Ukraine, carries all of it: recipient, IBAN, EDRPOU or RNOKPP tax number, an optional amount in hryvnias and the payment purpose. Any Ukrainian banking app reads it, and the payer just approves the transfer. Since the requisites are stored inside the pattern, the code is static and cannot be edited.
- Under NBU rules, every Ukrainian payment app must read the code from its start screen.
- Recipient, IBAN, tax number, amount and purpose arrive in the transfer form exactly as you typed them.
- The IBAN checksum is checked as you fill in the form, before anything is printed.
- The mandatory hryvnia sign in the centre tells payers at a glance that this is a payment code.
Sole proprietor (FOP) invoices
With a code on the invoice, the client no longer retypes the IBAN or the purpose with the invoice number.
Housing associations and utilities
Monthly bills carry the account and the apartment number in the purpose of payment.
Schools, kindergartens and clubs
Parents pay for meals, trips or classes with a code on the notice.
Volunteer and charity fundraisers
With no amount set, a poster lets each donor transfer as much as they wish.
Market stalls and small shops
A printed code at the counter takes a transfer to the shop account instead of cash.

NBU Payment QR Code Generator (Ukraine)
Enter the recipient, a Ukrainian IBAN, the EDRPOU or tax ID and the payment purpose. The generator builds a qr.bank.gov.ua link in format 002 of NBU Resolution No. 97 and places the mandatory hryvnia sign in the centre.
What is this QR code?
Since 1 November 2025 every Ukrainian payment app must be able to scan these codes from its start screen. The transfer details are encoded in the link itself, so the code needs no QR Global server, and a new IBAN or purpose means generating it again.
Best use cases
- ✓Invoices and receipts for clients who pay by bank transfer.
- ✓Utility, tuition and membership payments with a fixed purpose.
- ✓Charity and volunteer fundraisers that accept transfers in hryvnias.
- ✓Rental agreements and contracts with regular monthly payments.
How to generate your QR code
Enter the recipient as registered with the bank, and the 29-character IBAN starting with UA.
Add the EDRPOU of a company or the RNOKPP of a sole proprietor or private person.
Write the purpose the way your accountant needs it, with the invoice or contract number.
Scan the test print from the start screen of a Ukrainian banking app and compare the filled-in transfer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which banking apps can read the code?
Under NBU Resolution No. 97 every Ukrainian payment app has to scan these codes from its start screen, and phone cameras open the qr.bank.gov.ua link in the bank app.
Why is there a hryvnia sign in the middle?
The NBU rules make it mandatory, so a custom logo isn't added to this code type.
What if the details change?
Generate a new code: an NBU QR code carries the details itself and cannot be edited. If details change often, a donation page with editable details is the better fit.
What do I need to enter?
The recipient name, a Ukrainian IBAN of 29 characters, the EDRPOU code of a company or the RNOKPP of a person, and the purpose of the payment. The amount is optional.
Can I leave the amount empty?
Yes. The payer then types the amount in the banking app, which suits donations and bills that vary from month to month.
What fits into the purpose field?
Up to 420 characters. Include what banks and accountants need, such as the invoice or contract number.
Which version of the format is used?
Format 002 of Resolution No. 97. Banks must accept versions 001 to 003; version 003 additionally requires a purpose category code, which the generator does not guess for you.
Can a payer abroad use the code?
The format is meant for Ukrainian banking apps and transfers in hryvnias; foreign banks do not read it.
What size should I print it?
The payment details make this code denser than a short link code. Print it at least 3 to 4 cm wide and keep a white margin around it.
