Why a Spotify QR code
A poster or a record sleeve can only say “find us on Spotify”, and a search for a common band name turns up five other artists first. A Spotify QR code takes the listener straight to the exact track, album, playlist, artist page or podcast you picked. Copy the link from Spotify's share menu and paste it in: phones with the Spotify app open the item there, others see it on Spotify's website. The destination stays editable after printing, so the same flyer can promote your newest single next month, and every scan is counted in the analytics of the code.
- Leads to one specific track, album, playlist, artist or podcast instead of a page of search results.
- Point the code at a new release whenever you want; the printed image keeps working.
- Any phone camera reads it, unlike Spotify Codes, which only scan inside the Spotify app.
- Scan statistics reveal which poster, sleeve or merch item actually brings listeners.
Album sleeves and merch
A code on vinyl, CD inserts or a tour T-shirt opens the release for fans who listen digitally.
Gig posters and flyers
Before the concert, passers-by scan the poster and hear the band's top tracks or the setlist playlist.
Cafés, shops and gyms
A table card or a sign by the counter opens the playlist that is playing, so customers stop asking for song names.
Podcasts
Show notes, business cards and conference slides lead to the podcast's Spotify page or to one particular episode.
Weddings and parties
Guests scan the invitation or a sign at the venue to open the evening's playlist and, if it is collaborative, add their own requests.

Spotify QR Code Generator
Guide listeners to the exact Spotify release or playlist featured on your poster, product insert or event program. Copy the service’s share link so the code points to a specific item rather than an ambiguous artist name.
What is this QR code?
A Spotify QR code opens one track, album, playlist, artist or episode. It is an ordinary QR code that any camera reads, unlike the sound-wave Spotify Codes.
Best use cases
- ✓Album packaging linking to the release page.
- ✓Event programs sharing a curated playlist.
How to generate your QR code
Choose the song, album, artist or playlist in Spotify.
Copy its complete share URL into the Spotify field.
Add the title so listeners know what the link offers.
Play the item after a trial scan to be sure the right release opens.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I enter an artist name instead of a URL?
Use the full share URL. Spotify items have identifiers that cannot be reliably inferred from a name.
Does scanning guarantee playback?
No. Playback options depend on Spotify, the visitor’s account, device and location.
What exactly do I paste?
The full link from Spotify: open the song, album, playlist, artist or episode, choose Share and copy the link. An artist name or a username is not enough, because Spotify addresses its items by ID rather than by name.
Is this the same as a Spotify Code?
No. Spotify Codes are a sound-wave image that only the camera inside the Spotify app can read. This is a standard QR code: the built-in camera of any phone opens it, it can carry your colours and logo, and its scans are counted.
What if the listener does not have Spotify?
The link opens on Spotify's website, where the visitor sees the item and can open or install the app. What plays, and whether ads interrupt it, depends on the listener's Spotify account, not on the QR code.
Can I change the music after printing?
Yes. Replace the Spotify link in the code editor, for example when a new single or a new podcast season comes out, and the next scan opens the new item. The image of the code does not change.
Can one code play different playlists at different times?
If your plan includes smart redirects, a schedule rule sends scans to another link on the days and hours you choose, for example a calm morning playlist and a livelier one in the evening.
Where do I see streams and followers?
Those numbers stay in Spotify's own tools for artists and podcasters. QR Global shows the other half: how many times the printed code was scanned, on which days and from which countries.
