Do Discord invite links expire?
They can — an invite link may have a limited validity period or use count, unlike some other platforms' permanent profile links.
Does joining require moderator approval?
Not by default. Moderators can turn on membership screening or other checks in the server settings, and then a newcomer completes those steps before taking part.
Why did my Discord invite stop working?
Discord invites expire after seven days by default and can be limited to a number of uses. When you create the invite, choose never to expire and no use limit; if an old invite dies anyway, paste a new one into the same QR code.
What do I enter: the link or the code?
Either. A full link such as discord.gg/abc123 or discord.com/invite/abc123 is used as it is, and a bare code becomes a discord.gg link. A custom invite address works too, if your server has one.
Does a new member need a Discord account?
